Meet our teamOver the past year, we have worked together in order to achieve our common goal: to make student voices heard. We are all Grade 11 students, besides Stella de Wit, who is our only freshman.
With many challenges brought our way, we have had to adapt to ensure that we would still be able to host an event involving students from schools across Beijing. We have both grown as a team and individually, and are very happy to share all of our speeches, which cover a diverse range of topics. Our Mission
There are two main aims of our event. The first and foremost is to offer the opportunity for students’ voices to be heard. Even though we are always encouraged to do so in our supportive community, we felt that this was a way in which we, as well as students in schools outside of WAB, could demonstrate a different, and louder voice. On the other hand, besides wanting to empower students to share their ideas and thoughts, we also want to show how, collaboratively, we can overcome challenges. This common goal has mainly emerged during our transitioning into an online event, which we decided to do in order to stay true to the former.
